JMMT Volunteer Training Tools - Time Clock, Game Sheet, Shot Clock

For parents, players, or volunteers who work the time clock, fill in the game sheet or operate the shot clock you will be very interested in these new training tools that are available to help gain confidence in these roles.  

For those who have carried out these volunteer duties in the past, it will be a great refresher and reference for recent changes in the game.

Mandatory JMMT Meeting Monday May 30 - 7:30 pm

To All BMLA Box Rep Teams:

The John 'Gus' McCauley Memorial Tournament (JMMT) is fast approaching (June 10 to 12).  This is one of the premier tournaments in Ontario and is a huge undertaking.  The JMMT is run entirely with volunteers from the BMLA Representative Box teams (from Paperweight to Intermediate), other dedicated BMLA Volunteers, and members of the McCauley family. 

A meeting will be held on Monday, May 30th at 7:30 pm to advise each team of their team's obligations throughout the tournament.  It is mandatory that one representative from each BMLA rep team attends.  Both the #1 team and the #2 team have duties, and will need to work together to ensure that all tournament responsibilities are covered.  These jobs include greeting and registering the teams, running the time boxes (by providing competent scorekeepers, timekeepers and people to run the shot clock), ensuring the scoreboards are updated, working with the arena personnel to ensure that the facility is clean (dressing rooms, washrooms, etc.) and safe (floor is playable, undesireable behaviour from spectators is kept under control).  We want to ensure the tournament is run competently and professionally and is fun for all.    

The Mandatory JMMT meeting will be held:

Monday May 30th at 7:30 pm
Flower City Community Campus (former OPP grounds)

Building "D"  Boardroom 2
Brampton

At the conclusion of this meeting there will be time for the teams to co-ordinate their volunteer hours with other teams.

Dina Rehanek, the BMLA Registrar will be bringing all player and bench personnel OLA cards to this meeting and you will be able to get them from her there - the only exception to this is the Bantam 2 team who will be attending a tournament the weekend prior.
